Sheila Rae Carey earned a  Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design/Illustration from San Jose State University in 1988 with a minor in Advertising/Journalism.  She received her Masters of Art from the Syracuse University ISDP illustration program in 2008.  She is a student in the University of Hartford MFA in Illustration program. Sheila Rae Carey has worked as a graphic designer and freelance illustrator in San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Malvern (PA) and Binghamton, New York.  She was a staff artist for The Press & Sun Bulletin in Binghamton, New York.  Sheila Rae Carey’s comic strip, Isaac Newt, was published in the San Jose State University Spartan Daily.

 

 

 

Sheila Rae Carey had nothing to do with the writing nor submission of articles that were printed in the Chenango Forks School District Newsletter and The Press & Sun Bulletin that misrepresented her.  Sheila Rae Carey has never worked for The New Yorker, but was employed by The Press & Sun Bulletin.
